Winding through the beautiful countryside, vineyards and towns of the southwestern of France, the Canal du Midi is one of Europe’s oldest canals still in operation. Constructed in the late 17th century as a transport link between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, the UNESCO World Heritage Site has since shed its mercantile origins to become an idyllic destination for boating, biking, sightseeing and making the most of authentic France.
