Hotel Las Brisas, a Romantic Paradise in Ibiza

Hotel Las Brisas Ibiza junior suite terrace

Parties aside, the Spanish island of Ibiza is above all an island of immense natural beauty. Famous for its calas, or coves, these stunning small bays provide the perfect setting for a romantic Ibiza holiday. You can wake up to one of the spectacular loveliest cove by staying at the beautiful Hotel Las Brisas. I recently had the chance to stay at this special boutique hotel and I couldn’t have been more enchanted. Be swept up by its charm below.

Located a twenty minute drive from Ibiza Town and the airport, Hotel Las Brisas clings to the dramatic cliffs of Es Porroig Point, granting it sweeping views of gorgeous Es Cubells Bay and its shimmering turquoise waters. It’s an ideal base for exploring the southwest and west of the island, considered by many as its most beautiful part of Ibiza. It offers the additional advantage of being close enough to the action and attractions of the island while providing an intimate lovers’ hideaway far removed from the noisy party beaches lined with colossal hotels.

An Exquisite Lover’s Retreat

As soon as you enter through the doorway, you feel like you’ve just stepped into a peaceful oasis. With arabesque courtyards, gurgling fountains, wooden-beamed ceilings and airy lounges, the design of the hotel gives you the sensation of almost being a guest of the “Sultan of Ibiza.”

A Chic and Exotic Decor

This spirit is carried over in the decor, punctuated with carefully selected exotic objets d’art like wooden sculptures, Chinese vases, oriental lamps, thick woven tapestries and massive treasure chests. Each of the several lounges has a slightly different ambiance, which you can absorb reclined on one of the plush sofas and inviting armchairs. Fitness-minded holidayers can even keep up their routine in the outdoor gym, located under the alcoves of one of the courtyards.

A Room with A More Than Average View

The hotel has three suites and six rooms, all with private terraces and sea views. Each room has a different theme, though all exude the same exotic flare found in the common areas. They are all air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. We were lucky to stay in one of the two spacious junior suites. Found on the second floor, it had a comfortable king-sized bed, sitting area, bathroom with a shower and tub, however, it was the 50 m2 terrace that completely won us over. Featuring both a covered pergola sitting area and a sun exposed front section facing the garden and sea, we almost didn’t want to leave! A step up from this room is the VIP suite which has a living room, 2 bedrooms, special amenities and a vast 150 m2 terrace with shaded lounge areas.

Heavenly Common Areas

While we were thoroughly tempted to remain on our private terrace for our whole stay, other outdoor spaces of the hotel enticed us. The pool area and garden extend between the hotel and the cliff’s edge, offering jaw-dropping vistas of the bay. The scenery is particularly spectacular late afternoon or early morning when the golden sunlight turns the waters a deep aquamarine. There are various lounge areas specifically designed for couples, like the comfortable daybeds next to the pool and shaded areas overlooking the sea, perfect for taking in a late afternoon cocktail.

Arabian Nights Dinner Under the Stars

The hotel also has an excellent restaurant (open to outside guests). Its chef uses mainly local, organic ingredients for his creative modern Mediterranean dishes. The menu might include the likes of quinoa and feta falafel balls drizzled in macadamia nut juice and spinach emulsion, grilled octopus with purple potatoes or sirloin steak from the Valley of Elsa with sautéed cep mushrooms and truffle oil.

The hotel’s manager Sabrina and her attentive staff can also assist with boat/car rentals and other concierge services during your stay. Hotel Las Brisas is an idyllic Ibizan lovers’ nest for couples looking for some relaxation and time to themselves whilst exploring the other romantic aspects of island. It’s open from April to mid-October and reservations can be made directly via their website here.

I was a guest of Hotel Las Brisas, however, all of the opinions above are entirely my own.
