There are hundreds of Hotels in Paris, but there is only one Secret de Paris. Do you want in on the secrets of this seductive, intriguing hotel where you can “sleep” in some of Paris’ most famous sites? Shhhh… I recently stayed over to find out for myself. Come along with me and I’ll reveal some of its mysteries…

I was first introduced to the Hotel Secret de Paris at the beginning of September, thanks to the fabulous girls from Your Lovebox. The hotel is located in the 9th arrondissement, just above the Opera District, Gare Saint Lazare and a stone’s throw from Montmartre. I was lucky enough meet its Director, Adis Sehovic, and be given a behind the scenes tour of some of the rooms from this one-of-a-kind hotel.

Pass card in hard, its director opened the doors of le Musée d’Orsay, the Eiffel Tower and the *Moulin Rouge ® … wait a second? Is it really possible to have secret tour of some of Paris’ most iconic sites, all in one place? Mais oui! The cool concept of this four-star hotel is that the rooms have been carefully designed to give you the feel that you are actually sleeping at the various monuments.

What symbolizes Paris for you? Perhaps it’s the intricate ironwork of the Eiffel Tower? The amazing clock at the Musée d’Orsay? A grungy-chic artist studio up in Montmartre? Les Petites Danseurs of Degas at the Opera Garnier? The Hotel Secret de Paris gives you the chance to live that monument to the fullest during your stay in Paris, all with the top quality amenities, facilities and service you’d expect from a four-star hotel (see below!).

This unique hotel was the perfect venue for the new events Cocktail Mixers with a Coquine Twist we’re organizing with The Chamber private cocktail club. We’re having a fabulous launch there on Thursday October 27th, so I invited myself a little early so I could get to know it better. You got it right! I had my own sleepover party at the hotel. So, what was the experience like?

Arriving on a dark and damp night, I was instantly warmed up by the friendly welcome I received first from the receptionist, then more surprises would await me in my terribly sexy *Moulin Rouge ® Room. Once inside, I was greeted by the sweetest personalized welcome note… accompanied by a chilled bottle of bubbly. That would put some effervescence to my evening and more would be added by a coquine gift I found on my bed: a Your Lovebox “Seven Kinky Sins” kit. Oh la la! It would surely get red hotter in the room … and it wouldn’t just be from the seductively rouge lighting.

Some champagne cooled us down, but before daring to open the love kit, a trip to the steamroom and sauna were in order… not like we needed anymore warmth! However, these were the perfect places to truly unwind and switch on the relaxation buttons.

Back in the room, I got to investigate it further. Every detail had been thought through when designing the space so that it would evoke the vibe of the *Moulin Rouge ®. These details ranged from the red mood lighting to the windmill blade revealed behind windows (like we were actually right in the mill) and from the large, vibrant poster covering one wall to the discrete, rose-patterned carpet.

Needless to say the rose petals scattered around the room added to the romantic ambiance and the blush-worthy items of the Lovebox definitely guaranteed it would be a seductive, or rather, sinful night. Included in it were a sexy game, a naughty whip, a premium vibrating ring … furry cuffs and more. You can add these playful kits to your reservation when booking at the hotel.

This room is the ideal romantic escape, whether it be for special trip to Paris with your chéri/e or for a spicy date night for residents of the City of Love. The bed was so comfy, the rain shower so divine (some rooms also have Jacuzzi tubs) and the breakfast so tasty that I almost didn’t want to leave! Next time, I’ll have to camp out for the weekend 😉

The rooms at the Hotel Secret de Paris are also very well-suited to any trip to Paris; a single traveler might prefer the magical Musée d’Orsay room (a favourite of guests) or business travelers may feel more at home in the Trocadero room. You can peruse the various rooms at this link. Check the best available prices on Agoda here.
