A Secluded Hideaway in Northwestern Zanzibar
Kilindi is now part of the Elewana collection of exceptional hotels and lodges in Tanzania and Kenya. It’s set within 50 acres of verdant tropical vegetation on the northwestern coast of Zanzibar. It’s found above the traditional fishing village of Kwenda, which adds charm and is far enough removed from the busier beach of Nunwgi, located a little further north. It’s a little over an hour’s drive from the international airport. The design blends Scandinavian minimalism and architectural features of Zanzibar’s Middle Eastern heritage. Due to the size of the property, the guest pavilions are well spaced out, offering amazing privacy.
Heavenly & Luxurious Facilities
There is a main pavilion which is home to a stylish and airy lounge, a gourmet restaurant, a waterfall bar and sublime T-shaped infinity pool surrounded by deluxe sun loungers and romantic double sun beds. There is also a private beach, where glamorous canopied sun beds await. The private facilities of each of the pavilions, described below, are also impeccable. To enhance the luxurious experience, guests have a private butler who is there to ensure all their holiday desires are met.

The 15 white-domed Pavilion guest rooms have separate entrances and are entirely surrounded by the lush garden greenery. The accommodation is divide between two pavilions. One which has an open lounge and dining area on the ground floor and a large bathroom with a ‘rainfall’ shower room, double basins and toilet on the first floor which also has gorgeous views. A spacious bedroom is found in the second pavilion. It has an extra large King bed with an alluring canopy. There are wide, arched glassless windows, with white wooden-slatted shutters, providing spectacular panoramic views over the ocean and gardens. Lastly, each suite has its own private plunge pool (or two), from where you can cool down and continue to take in the stunning vista. Breakfast is usually served in your pavilion, however, you can also arrange to have private candlelit dinners in your lounge.
